Police: Teen Stole $4,000 in Jewelry, Sold to Gold Buyer
St. Louis County Police said the burglary in the 8700 block of New Hampshire was Sept. 14.
An Affton teenager is accused of breaking into a home, stealing and selling jewelry in a Sept. 14 incident.
Devin Brower, 18, of the 5300 block of Willard Avenue in Affton, was charged Wednesday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing.
St. Louis County Police said the resident came home for lunch Sept. 14 and discovered several pieces of jewelry, with total value estimated at $4,000, had been stolen from the home in the 8700 block of New Hampshire.
Police said they discovered the jewelry had been sold to a gold buyer in the city of St. Louis. Brower was arrested and accused of the burglary and theft.
Brower is being held in St. Louis County jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
