I'm a web developer and creative director who's been supporting Macs in various forms for 25 years. I'll open any hardware short of a late-model iMac - and have replaced fans, drives and memory in laptops, desktops and currently a Mini - and tend to take on email and other IT admin as part of a web dev and branding assignment.

Wow - I've never seen so many COMMENTS on an Affton-Patch article LoL. That's great! You guys should have a column about being single in St. Louis. In a town where EVERYTHING is geared to the marrieds & family - it would certainly set you apart & likely get you many new readers. St.Louis was just voted in the Top 10 Cities for Singles. Why? Why not write about it? Why not feature one new bachelor/bachelorette on Patch each week.Write about issues affecting singles in St.Louis? Just an idea....

Joe Balsarotti, has over 30 years of computer industry experience, reaching back to the days of the Apple II. His career began at the age of 15, when he was already being paid as a computer consultant. At 16, he began work at Computer Country, the local computer chain where within two years he was installing school computer labs throughout the region. While attending College in the morning, Joe was hired by Software Galleria, a once-national chain of software-only stores where within six months he became buyer and then also, store manager. At the demise of the chain, Joe immediately found himself at Software To Go, a local three-store chain with national aspirations. After two years as buyer, Joe was promoted to Director of Operations and in 1992, Joe purchased the company from the retiring founder, Peter Reunert.

In 2005 , Joe was given the honor of being chosen for a ‘cover story’ in Computer Reseller News, the computer industry trade paper. The article focuses on the challenges independent technology providers face getting assistance and support from manufacturers and tech distributors. Balsarotti also was invited to attend ceremonies at the Computer Industry Hall of Fame in 2004 and has participated in various panels during industry trade shows and conferences across the country.

In addition, Joe serves on the Dealer Advisory Panel of the ASCII Group, an 25-year old organization of over 1000 independent computer and technology solution providers.
