So, the question to Corey Purtle, general manager of the Auto Spa Etc. car wash, was:

What's the most unusual car to go through the car wash?

"You name it, we've washed it," Purtle said.

At which time a smart aleck reporter asked: "What about the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile?"

Purtle responded, "No, we haven't washed that, but we did wash the Bud Light Monster Party Truck, and we've had our share of Lamborghinis and Ferraris."

On a mostly busy Thursday last week at Auto Spa Etc., 5439 Telegraph Road, Oakville, Purtle's crew was busy guiding car after car through the touchless car wash bay as the vehicles were soaped up, rinsed and blown dry. As one staff member brushed car mats with soap and then rinsed them, another crew was toweling off other vehicles, cleaning the windows and sprucing up the interior.

The skies were cloud-covered, but the weather was reasonably warm, which Purtle says can be an "iffy" situation when it comes to attracting customers.

Ideally, motorists want to be sure the forecast is dry enough weather for a few days after their car is washed, so as not to immediately have them sprayed again with grime or salt from the roads.
