Miller, along with four other Cor Jesu soccer players, were selected for the Post-Dispatch All-Metro team.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch recently recognized five Cor Jesu Academy athletes for their stellar performance on the soccer field.
Senior Jenn Miller was the Athlete of the Year for girls soccer and led her team to the Class 3 state championship title in June.
The midfielder was the go-to player for the Chargers, who won their last 15 games en route to a 23-2 season. She had 14 goals and six assists and will attend the University of Mississippi on a soccer scholarship.
Defensive sweeper Emily Bollinger made the Post-Dispatch All-Metro first team and helped with the team’s 14 shutouts. The senior will attend the University of South Carolina in the fall.
Goalie Sam Bersett and striker Erin McGauley were selected for the second team all-metro. Bersett won 23 games and had a .51 goals against average for the team. She’ll attend New Jersey Tech in August.
McGauley signed with Xavier and was the squad’s expert at free kicks and corners.
