Police still seek others involved in the May 11 and May 12 crimes in Mehlville, Crestwood and Shrewsbury.

One man has been charged with robberies in the Mehlville Kmart and Crestwood Kohl’s parking lots May 11 and May 12. Another man has been arrested in connection with the robberies.

Markele D. Prince, 17, of the 4500 block of Rosewood Avenue in Jennings, has was charged Thursday with two counts each of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

St. Louis County Police said a woman was retrieving something from her car in the Mehlville Kmart parking lot, 3901 Lemay Ferry Road, on May 11 when two men displayed a semi-automatic handgun and stole her purse.

According to court documents, another man held the weapon during the robbery in Mehlville, not Prince.

In the May 12 Crestwood robbery, police said two men in a green Chevrolet approached a woman in the Kohl’s parking lot, displayed a gun and took her purse. Police said Prince had the weapon in that robbery.

Crestwood Police Chief Mike Paillou confirmed that police have four suspects in three robberies, including a robbery at the Dierberg's in Shrewsbury. He said police have arrested another suspect, but his name will not be released until he is formally charged.

Bond for Prince was been set at $75,000.

Why, they should garnish these gentlemen's wages to pay back their victims. Or, on the off chance that these fine young producers haven't productive employment at the moment, they should have to cash out their Roth IRA's with *full penalties* in payment.
