Mehlville High Auditorium Construction On Target, Budget
The recent snow hasn't hampered progress.
Despite the snowy weather we've been having, construction on the new Mehlville High School auditorium continues to be on target.
During Thursday's Board of Education meeting Superintendent Eric Knost said the district also continues to be "ahead of the game as far as the financial pieces."
In January the board agreed to use part of the contingency fund to add a covered walkway and gypsum board on the walls of the auditorium. Knost said Thursday they could soon talk about the remaining alternates, or features that were not included in the original plan.
That could include safety features that weren't previously considered.
"Post-Sandy Hook we just think differently... this is a chance to be proactive," he said.
