A Lemay man pushed his father backward into a bathtub at 8:45 a.m. Sunday and choked him while demanding money, according to a St. Louis County Police report.

Mark Vasquez, 39, of the 300 block of Lemay Ferry Road, was charged Monday with domestic assault and attempted robbery.

He also asked his father how it felt to die while choking him, police said in the report. Bond was set at $35,000.

Vasquez also faces charges related to a burglary in November.
