Lemay Man Charged With Intent to Make Meth

Police said the man had pseudoephedrine in his room at the Econo Lodge Southwest.

 

A Lemay man was charged July 16 with possessing chemicals with the intent to make methamphetamine.

Sunset Hills Police said that Cory Cook, 25, of the 200 block of West Ripa in Lemay, had pseudoephedrine in a room at the Econo Lodge Southwest, 3730 South Lindbergh Boulevard in Sunset Hills.

According to a police report, he admitted planning to use the cold medicine to make meth.

Bond was set $5,000.

      There is the on-going argument to make the ingredients for meth a prescription only purchase. For the side who says that is a hardship, how do you keep a straight face. The cost and toll for not doing this is much much worse. People are dying because you all think its too hard to put it as prescription only. The tracking system is working a little but not enough to stop this epidemic. There is not a hotel along 55 right now that does not have someone cooking it or using it.
