Mehlville Optimists Honor Students During Youth Appreciation Breakfast
Lindbergh High School seniors Ananya Benegal and Lauren Dierkes were recognized Nov. 14 at the Mehlville Optimist Club Youth Appreciation Breakfast.

Congratulations to Lindbergh High School seniors Ananya Benegal and Lauren Dierkes, who were recognized Nov. 14 at the Mehlville Optimist Club Youth Appreciation Breakfast. Both students were nominated by their Key Club sponsor, Kim Dailey, for their citizenship, leadership, academic success and community service.
Ananya is a member of Premedica, UNICEF Club, and Environmental Club, and is Key Club president. She has received numerous awards including: Teacher's Choice, Presidential Service Awards, Renaissance Platinum Award, Princeton Book Award, AP Scholar with Distinction, Principal's Scholar Award, and most recently National Merit Semifinalist.
Lauren is a member of National Honor Society, National English Honors Society and Premedica. She is also historian for Tri-M Musical Honors Society, section leader in the Spirit of St. Louis Marching Band, Track and Field Distance Runner, and Key Club senior director. She has received numerous awards including: Teacher's Choice, Best Marcher, Bronze Service Award, Missouri Girls State Designee, and Renaissance Platinum Award.
