Meth Lab Found in Stolen Car After Police Chase
Fenton Police arrested a suspect a week after he struck a police car during a chase, police said.
A man fled police—first by car, then on foot—in a stolen car containing a methamphetamine lab after being reported for burglarizing, police said.
Fenton police arrested the man about one week later, the St. Louis County Police’s South County Precinct said.
The incident started on September 15, when an officer the responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 7200 block of Becker Road, according to the police blotter.
When the officer tried to talk to the suspect, who was loading items into a vehicle, the suspect sped through the yard, onto Becker Road and then on to Fine Road.
The suspect struck the driver’s side of a patrol vehicle attempting to conduct a felony stop, police said. When the suspect failed to stop, police pursued him until ending the chase due to vehicle and foot traffic.
Arnold Police then found the vehicle and pursued it—along with Jefferson County Deputies and Metro Air—to Gods Country Road, where the suspect fled on foot.
The car, which was stolen from Pevely, MO, contained a methamphetamine lab.
