MHS Soccer Athletes to Play College Ball

Three Panther seniors will play at the collegiate level.

Mehlville High School senior Claire Steward signed a letter of intent to play soccer at the University of Louisiana - Lafayette this fall with her parents Nancy, Claire and Jim Steward, MHS Assistant Soccer Coach Jill Wojewuczki, MHS Head Soccer Coach Tom Harper, Steward's goalkeeper coach Duane Kloepple and MHS Athletic Director Bob Kern.

Three Mehlville High School girls soccer players signed letters of intent Monday to play college soccer in the fall. All three athletes have been on the varsity squad, under coach Tom Harper, since their freshman year. 

  • Lauren Guerrero will attend St. Louis Community College where she will major in Sports Medicine. She is the daughter of Ernie and Andrea Guerrero.

  • Claire Steward will attend the University of Louisiana – Lafayette where she will major in Marine Biology. She is the daughter of Jim and Nancy Steward.

  • Haylee Thibodeaux will attend Southwest Baptist University, where she will major in Physical Therapy. She is the daughter of Sheryl and Jim Fish.
