One of the largest and most expensive band instruments is the tuba, and that's exactly what Mehlville students wanted to donate to the band at Joplin High School

When a tornado destroyed all of their instruments and equipment in May of 2011, Mehlville High School's band wanted to help.

The group raised $3,000 and purchased two tubas for the band. They presented the instruments Wednesday on their way to New Mexico for a breathing clinic.
