Police Offering Inside Look at the Force
The South County Precinct is hosting another Citizens Police Academy.
Once again, South County residents can get a taste of police life with the St. Louis County Police Citizens Police Academy.
The academy is a free, nine-week course that explores the different facets of being a police officer. Hosted by the neighborhood policing officers of the South County Precinct, the course goes through the drug and K-9 units and includes a trip to the police academy.
The first class is Aug. 16 at 6:30 p.m. All classes are Thursdays at Grace Union Church, 3900 Union Road.
Those interested must be 18 or older and can email southcountyprecinct@stlouisco.com or call 314-892-1510 for an application. Applications must be returned to the Neighborhood Policing Unit at the South County Precinct before the start of class Aug. 16.
