Police Save Inhalant Victim, Bust Meth Lab

The St. Louis County Police crime report from March 11 to March 18 includes incidents occurring in Mehlville, Oakville and Lemay.

March 11

Police arrested a suspect for attempted robbery after the suspect went into the 7-Eleven at Lemay Ferry and Meramec Bottom Road, implied a weapon and demanded money. The clerk refused and sounded an alarm and the suspect fled empty-handed. Police found the victim at a home on the 800 block of Military Road and arrested them without incident. The suspect is being held on a $50,000 bond.

  • After a traffic stop, police found pills and butane in the car. The suspects were taking the items to a residence to trade for methamphetamines. The officers received consent to enter the residence and a meth lab was located. Interviewing the suspects further led police to . 
  • A laptop was reported stolen from the 5600 block of Hunters Valley Court. 
  • Police found a suspect seated in his vehicle huffing a canned air duster at the  on Telegraph Road. The suspect refused to unlock doors or comply with orders. Police broke the car window and the suspect was taken into custody for psychiatric evaluation and illegal use of inhalants. He was transferred to .

  • A white, 2006 Ford F-250 van (1AL679) was reported stolen from the 4400 block of Meramec Bottom Road. 
  • Several suspects entered the construction yard on the 100 block of Fannie Avenue and stole scrap metal valuing at least $1,000. 

March 14

  • A wallet, money and credit cards were reported stolen from the 4300 block of Hoffmeister Avenue. 
  • A wallet, money, identification and credit cards were reported stolen from the 3200 block of Telegraph Road. 
  • Money and electronics were reported stolen from the 5100 block of Butler Hill Road. 

March 16

Laptops were reported stolen from the 730 block of Cumberland Avenue. 

March 17

  • A red, 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix (DD1G8K) was reported stolen from the . 
  • Clothing was reported stolen from the South County Mall. 
  • Money, purses, wallets, and electronics were reported stolen from the South County Mall.

March 18

  • Police are looking for a suspect after a victim was beaten on the 5600 block of Delintry Drive. 
  • Police are looking for a suspect after a stealing and peace disturbance call on the 4800 block of Turley Mill Road. The suspect threatened the victim and stole several older electronic items from the apartment. The suspect's father recovered some of the electronics and returned them to the victim.
