Police found several mobile meth labs in the car.

After a car chase that took St. Louis County Police Officers into Columbia, IL, two people have been charged with resisting arrest and production of methamphetamines.

Donald Arndt, 33, of St. Louis, was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and numerous production of methamphetamine charges. Brittany Pashia, 23, of De Soto, was charged with the production of methamphetamine.

At about 6 p.m. on May 21, an officer from the South County Precinct attempted to stop the two near Walmart after their vehicle registered as stolen.

According to the police report, the driver tried to hit the officer with the vehicle and fled the scene. Officers pursued the car, which traveled over Interstate 255 into Columbia, IL.

Police said Arndt exited the vehicle and came toward the officer with a knife. The officer fired two shots, which missed the suspect. The two were taken into custody without further incident.

Upon investigation, police found a mobile meth lab in the car.

Arndt and Pashia are charged in Illinois and have bonds of $350,000 and $250,000, respectively.
