The “Empty Bowls Project” is a national effort that utilizes art education to raise awareness about the issues of hunger and food security. Students, faculty and staff at Green Park created approximately 500 food-safe ceramic soup bowls in conjunction with the school’s art curriculum. For just $10, choose your own handmade, one-of-a-kind bowl to hold your soup of choice (accompanied by salad, bread and dessert.) Join your friend for fellowship and fun as you help alleviate hunger in our community through Project Backpack and around the world through Heifer International. The bowl is yours to keep as a reminder of those that you helped.

More About Green Park Lutheran School
Green Park Lutheran is a Christian-based school for students in kindergarten to eighth grade. They offer soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country and track as well as a variety of music programs. In 2011, the school will be celebrating their 50th anniversary. Sponsored by four area churches, the school frequently gives back to the community. Once a year, they create clay bowls and sell them for Life 4 Life. They also partner with senior citizen centers in St. Louis and visit local residents, raking leaves or cleaning trails.
