DESCRIPTION:Thirty-four 4th- through 8th-grade artists from the St. Louis
  area\, including thirteen from Hancock Place Middle School\, have their
  illustrations of historical family stories exhibited at Gya Community G
 allery\, 2700 Locust Street (63103)\, from May 1 through June 17. A spec
 ial open house featuring the exhibit will be held Saturday\, June 2\, fr

  hours. The illustrations in this exhibit were submitted to accompany st
 ories in Grannie Annie\, Vol. 7\, a book of historical family stories wr
 itten by young people. The illustrated stories span about ninety years (
 from 1890 to the late 1970s)\, and take place in North America\, Europe\
 , and Asia. Both published and unpublished drawings are included in the 
 exhibit.
