When/ Where: Friday, May 11, 7 p.m. at , 12641 Missouri Bottom Rd.
Why go: The event allows the firefighters the chance to mingle with the residents in a non-emergency setting. Movie times will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be shown on a 10-foot movie screen in the engine bay. The firefighters will provide popcorn, soda, and water. Bring a lawn chair if possible.
Pricing: Free

When/ Where: Saturday, May 12, 8 a.m. at the , 15955 New Halls Ferry Rd.
Why go: For more than three decades, the run-walk has raised money for scholarships for graduating seniors. In 2012, the goal is to raise $50,000 to provide scholarships valued at $500 for 100 students.
Pricing: Free to support, $15 to participate

When/ Where: Saturday, May 12, 9 a.m., , 7055 Howdershell Rd.
Why go: Join your neighbors for Hazelwood's annual fishing outing. Awards will be given for the largest fish and most total weight in various age brackets. Resident card will be required.
Pricing: Free, Hazelwood residents only

When/ Where: Saturday, May 12, 5 p.m. at , the intersection of North Hanley Road and Latty Avenue
Why go: Come checkout some of the enhancements made to this facility including mechanical equipment, concrete with bare feet friendly surfacing and a night show of multi-colored lights that reflect off the shooting water.
