'American Idol' Tour Cancellation Means No St. Louis Performance for Curtis Finch, Jr.

The Oakville High School graduated made it to the top 10 this season.

Local "American Idol" star Curtis Finch, Jr. will not have the chance to perform in his hometown with his fellow contestants--the "American Idol Live!" tour canceled its opening date at Chaifetz Arena, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Finch made it to the show's top 10 this season, but was eliminated. He graduated from Oakville High School, and made a visit back following his run on 'Idol.'

Tour dates in Las Vegas, Tulsa, Kansas City, Oklahoma City and Rosemont, Ill., have also been canceled, Post-Dispatch reports. Finch told the Post-Dispatch the news was "extremely saddening."
