Oakville Girl's Thanksgiving Song Goes Viral

Nicole Westbrook's song 'It's Thanksgiving' has more than five million views on YouTube.

Oakville has a new YouTube star.

Nicole Westbrook sings "It's Thanksgiving" in a viral YouTube video with more than 6 million views in its first four days.

Nicole, 12, left Oakville four years ago when her family moved to Van Nuys in Los Angeles, giving her the chance to make it big and pursue her dreams of performing, according to Fox2Now.

Since then, video producer Patrice Wilson "discovered" Nicole, helping her with her Internet hit just like he did last year for the famous/infamous Rebecca Black, the singer of "Friday."

Nicole's grandfather is Dick Westbrook, the legendary soccer coach at Visitation Academy.

“This is what she is looking for I guess," Dick told Fox2Now. "She wants to get into acting. So hopefully it will open some doors for her if that is what she wants to pursue so all the more power to her,” he said.

The Riverfront Times, which covers music news in the St. Louis area, closely compares Nicole's musical journey to that of Rebecca Black, now a household name:

Here are some reasons Westbrook could get off easier than Black. Westbrook seems more natural in front of the camera, which helps. To our untrained ear, she doesn't sound like she's been Autotuned into oblivion, so she may actually have a nice voice. Because she's 12, and adorable, and singing about her favorite holiday -- as opposed to a teenager crooning about wanting to "parrrrt-eee" -- this could parlay into a squeaky clean gig on the Disney Channel or Nickelodeon.

The song has already been covered by her fans on YouTube...
