St. Anthony’s ‘Go Pink and Red for Women’

St. Anthony’s Medical Center will celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a free special event for women. 

“Go Pink and Red for Women,” a fun day of celebrating women’s breast and heart health, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Holiday Inn South County Center at Highway 55 and Lindbergh Boulevard. 

A series of speakers will present programs throughout the day on the following topics:

  • Heart Health & Risk Factors
  • Looking Good, Feeling Better
  • Exercise to Improve Heart Health and Help Prevent Cancer
  • Coping with Mental Road Blocks:  What It Means to Be a Woman and a Survivor
  • Breast Health Road Map – “Karen’s Story.”

Other activities will include interactive health information booths, nutrition and fitness tips, makeup lessons, hand massages and discussions about breast and heart health, including the opportunity to ask the experts your health-related questions. 

Participants will be entered into a drawing to win “Lady in Red” and “Lady in Pink” prizes, including mall gift cards.
