Celebrate 7-Eleven's 84th Birthday with a Free Slurpee Today

The convenience store is offering customers a free 7.11 ounce frozen treat Monday, July 11 to celebrate its 84th birthday.

7-Eleven is offering customers a free 7.11-ounce frozen Slurpee drink today to help celebrate its 84th birthday.

The free Slurpee offer is available one per customer until midnight at participating convenience stores while supplies last. As part of the "Slurpee-bration," some locations will offer in-store specials, music, entertainment, prizes and food samplings.

The 7-Eleven store on Telegraph will be offering two for $1 hot dogs and taquitos in addition to a wide variety of Slurpee flavors. To help promote the summer movie "Cowboys and Aliens," Mike Jacobs, a clerk at the Telegraph 7-Eleven, said that they are offering "Alienade" at that location.

7-Eleven began offering free Slurpees on July 11 on its 75th birthday in 2002, and it's become a big hit with customers,. In fact, one year the company gave out 5 million Slurpee drinks in one day.

7-Eleven first began in 1927 when a Southland Ice Company employee started selling bread, milk and eggs on a dock in a Dallas suburb. Today, the chain has 8,600 7-Eleven stores in North America and about 41,500 stores worldwide.
