Gingham's South County Location Closing August 25

Jack Pieschel, Gingham's South County location owner posted on the Gingham's Restaurant Facebook page a countdown to Sunday.

It appears the restaurant known for food that makes you feel like you're at grandma's house is closing. Its last day is Aug. 25, so that leaves patrons with less than four days to get their home-cooking fill.

Jack Pieschel, Gingham's South County location owner posted on the Gingham's Restaurant Facebook page a countdown.

"Let the unfortunate countdown begin..... 11 days until our location closes its doors!  Please start sharing your great memories on our wall! Would love to hear from our customers, employees, former employees and all other friends and family...."

Although the South County location is closing, the St. Charles County restaurant will remain open. Craig Uttendorf posted on the Gingham's Homestyle Restaurant Facebook page, which represents the St. Charles County location, madking that clear to patrons.

"To all of our wonderful Facebook customers. The Gingham's Restaurant in South County is closing as of August 25th. We want to make sure everyone knows that this will NOT affect the St. Charles Gingham's. The South County location has been under different ownership for quite some time now. Business is great here in St Charles and we plan on being around for many years! Stop in and see us. We are truly blessed with the amount of people that call us their "'home away from home.'"

When the South County location was looking for a new place to call home this past spring, the story was one of the most read articles on Mehlville-Oakville Patch in April. See: Gingham's Restaurant Searching for New Digs
