The Watering Bowl, on Lindbergh Boulevard, gave almost $2,000 to Stray Rescue Monday.

Are they barking mad? On Monday,  donated their entire day's proceeds to Stray Rescue, a no-kill animal shelter.

Watering Bowl staff and co-owners Jeremy King and Ryan Wolk gave more than $1,700 to the shelter after having a record day at the dog daycare center.

A busy Monday for The Watering Bowl is about 50 to 60 dogs and at most five baths. Yesterday, more than 80 dogs came to play and staff members gave 22 baths.

"We felt like we needed to do something a little more for the shelter," King said. "We're definitely going to do it again."

The cage-free daycare center works with Stray Rescue and brings dogs down to play during the week. They've also held supply drives for the shelter.

The Watering Bowl is also expanding. In June, they will open another location in Brentwood on Hanley Road.
