Restaurant Inspections: Golden Corral, McDonald's

Patch examined inspection reports in Affton, Mehlville and Oakville from April 26 until May 2. Information has been compiled using publicly available data published to the website of the St. Louis County Health Department

Restaurants are rated on a scale of A to C, with A being the best. Inspectors also give a score indicating the percentage of compliance with inspection standards. 

Unless otherwise noted, all inspections were conducted on a routine basis.

Grade: A (100)
Comments: No label on spray bottle and no date marking—both corrected while inspector was present. Found raw chicken on top shelf. Refrigeration door falling off; repaired hinge.

Comments: Caulk at hand sinks by dish room needs to be resealed to wall.

Grade: A (99)

Comments: Items were corrected from inspection done April 16.

Grade: A (98)
Comments: Finish service counter repairs to be smooth, easily cleanable and non-porous, drive-thru too. Debris accumulation along baseboards and under equipment needs to be cleaned.

Inspection date: April 30
Grade: A (96)
Comments: Many refrigerators and freezer thermometers are missing and need to be replaced. Shelving needs to be a minimum of 6 inches off the floor. Wiping solution is 0 ppm and needs to be 100-200 ppm chlorine. Rusty walk-in floors need to be repaired. Worn ceiling tiles over service line need to be replaced.

Newsland Mini Mart, 73 South County Center Way
Inspection date: April 30 for opening
Grade: A (93)
Comments: Hand sink is obstructed with dishes and needs to be available for hand washing. Refrigerator at 50 F needs to be 41 F or below. Replace missing thermometers in refrigerators and ice cream freezer. Broken ice bucket needs to be replaced. Debris on shelving and in ice machine needs to be cleaned.

The Catered Table, 10575 Tesson Ferry Road
Inspection date: May 2
Grade: A (99)
Comments: Found cases of food sitting on floor of walk-in cooler.
