South County Pool Inspections: Part 2

The St. Louis County Health Department inspected area pools.

Patch examined inspection reports in Mehlville, Oakville and Affton in June where several area pools were inspected. 

Information has been compiled using publicly available data published to the website of the St. Louis County Health Department

Unless otherwise noted, all inspections were conducted on a routine basis.

Southridge Condo Outdoor Pool, 10024 Echoridge Lane
Inspection date: June 5
Comments: Needs to install hose bib on the faucet by the shed, there was no self-closing repair gate and it was missing diving signs with photos.

, 5010 Clayridge Drive
Inspection date: June 6
Comments: There were no paper towels in both bathrooms.

Inspection date: June 8
Comments: No main drain was visible.

Oak Grove Indoor Pool, 6602 S Lindbergh Boulevard
Inspection date: June 8
Comments: Handrails are not provided on both sides with all stairs, steps and ladders. There is no contrasting color line of the edge of the stairs and no warning stating there is an 18-year-old age limit. “No Diving” markers were also missing.

Brookside Village Apartments Outdoor Pool, 10230 Mackenzie Road
Inspection date: June 8
Comments: The pool is missing the contrasting color line on the edge of the stairs.

, 3400 Evergreen Lane
Inspection date June 11
Comments: Needs complaint and bather load signs.
