The Lunchbox Will Soon Be Open For Dinner
Maggie's Lunchbox After Dark dinner menu makes its premiere July 13 with a grand opening celebration.
Beginning July 13, Maggie’s Lunchbox in Fenton is celebrating three square meals a day when it opens for dinner with its After Dark menu.
"We wanted to give people working and living in the area another option for dinner," said Maggie's co-owner Ben Aschinger. “To celebrate the addition we’re having a grand opening on July 13 complete with music.”
Maggie’s Lunchbox originally built its reputation on breakfast and lunch along with its daily selection of house baked breads, pies and pastries. Breakfast options range from a Danish with coffee to a nice mix of eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats and biscuits. Gourmands should consider the daily Frittata special, a best buy priced at $5.95, which includes a side of seasonal fruit.

Lunch is heavily weighted with sandwiches that feature real meat – nothing processed or pressed.
“We use real turkey and beef," Aschinger said. "Everything is quality and we make everything from scratch.”

Sandwiches are made on a choice of seven different house-baked breads, such as the egg-rich French-style Brioche. All sandwiches include a side with an upgrade option of a Caesar or side salad available for an additional 50 cents. For those who want to eat green, Maggie’s offers five entrée salads. Standouts are the classic Cobb and the Chef Salad.
Homemade soups, chili and blue plate specials featured during lunch will make an appearance on the After Dark menu. A peek at the menu reveals hand-tossed and deep dish pizzas made with a cornmeal crust. Toppings offered are a traditional and impressive list of gourmet ingredients from smoked chicken to kalamata olives to tomatillo verde sauce. Small plate appetizers are another anticipated After Dark menu addition, a compliment to Maggie’s wine and beer selections served during lunch and dinner.
Maggie’s Lunchbox offers a spacious dining room, private dining areas and patio seating for al fresco gatherings. Take-out service is available from breakfast to dinner. Service is fast, portions are generous and prices are affordable, ranging from $5.95 for breakfast plates and most sandwiches to $5 for After Dark Small Plates.
