To help Walmart 'Fill the Truck', 300 volunteers needed THIS SATURDAY

The Salvation Army needs help to raise coats and toys for disadvantaged children

This Saturday, we're going to need more than a handful of volunteers for this incredible undertaking.

At every participating store across the country, Walmart is having a major push to encourage shoppers to buy an extra toy or coat to donate to The Salvation Army for disadvantaged children. So, for the St. Louis metropolitan area, that means we need volunteers at 29 Walmarts from Wentzville to Belleville.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., volunteers will be handing out flyers at the door so shoppers know what they can buy to help with the effort. Two hour shifts are requested, and working longer than that would be a huge help.

And these trucks don't get shipped off to far away places, they impact the children and families that are right in your neighborhood. And if you've been thinking about volunteering with your family somewhere this season, this is the perfect time to get involved!

To sign up to volunteer, please call or email Sheila Davis at sheila_r_davis@usc.salvationarmy.org, or give her a call at 314-646-3166.
