We could go into many analogies with this photo, but thought the photo itself would be sufficient, and brevity is better.
I captured this butterfly at lift-off during a family photo shoot at Twin Oaks Park. We anticipated that the flash would startle this lovely creature, so we set our shutter speed accordingly to capture the liftoff, and successful we were. Beauty in motion captured as a still life. Note the detail on the eyes and antennae. You will also notice the effect of the heat on the tree leaves.
