Get Out: MHS Graduation and Puppies in the Park

With summer racing toward us, so many things are going on. Here's our weekly list of local events.

When/Where: Friday, May 20 from 2 to 7 p.m. at 4200 Rusty Road
Why Go: Costco is hosting its first wellness fair. Stop by for your free health screening or child ID kit.

When/Where: Friday, May 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. at 623 Buckley Road
Why Go: Give thanks to the person who set you on your literary voyage. Buerkle students of the past and present are invited to bid farewell to Lynn Ruder, who is retiring this year. Mrs. Ruder has been with the school for 18 years, and would love to see as many of her current and former students as possible before she leaves.
Cost: Free

When/Where: Saturday, May 21 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Grand and Crickett Drive (Crickett Field in Forest Park)
Why Go: Bring your pooch to the largest dog walk and festival in the midwest! Highlights include performances by the Purina Incredible Dog Team, a silent auction, the Family Fun Activity Center and pet contests. Proceeds from this event go to the Humane Society of Missouri's Animal Cruelty Fund which is dedicated to the prevention of animal abuse.
Cost:  The minimum requested donation is $25 for adults and $5 for youth ages 4-15. The event is free for children ages 3 and younger and dogs are free too. This includes an official Bark in the Park t-shirt.

When/Where: Saturday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. at 796 Buckley Road
Why Go: Trivia season is not over yet! Grab your parents, friends and community members and help support Margaret Buerkle Middle School in the most fun way we know. The evening will feature trivia as well as a silent auction, raffles and prizes. 
Cost: $20 per person including beer and setups

Mehlville High School Graduation
When/Where: Sunday, May 22 at 6 p.m. at 2002 Arena Parkway (St. Charles Family Arena)
Why Go: Cheer on your friend or loved one as they walk across the stage to begin the next chapter of their lives
Cost: Free
