Good Morning Mehlville and Oakville: Local Organizations Receive $1.7 Million in Grants

Good morning, Mehlville and Oakville!

  • Weather: Tuesday is calling for a 20 percent of showers and a high near 91 degrees, according to the National Weather Service

  • Later today, we'll have a story on the  recipients from the Lemay development gathering at  last night. We'll also have updates on other new projects set to improve our northern neighbor. Congrats to the following organizations:
    • American Legion Post 15: $250,000 to build a memorial for recovered
    • Lemay Housing Partnership: $780,000 to expand their home repair program
    • The partnership of Lemay Housing Partnership and the Legal Services of Eastern Missouri: $18,500 to host workshops on home ownership responsibilities. 
    • Mid-East Area Agency on Aging: $500,000 to purchase and expand the South County Senior Center
    • The : $150,000 to restore a building and turn it into the Missouri Civil War Studies Center
    • South County Economic Improvement Group: $30,000 to beautify the intersection of Interstate 255 and Telegraph Road. 
  • Tonight, the board of directors is having a meeting at 5 p.m. at the administration building in Green Park.
