• Weather: The National Weather Service describes today's weather as a "widespread haze." It's supposed to be sunny and hot with a high near 98 degrees. The heat index will climb to 106 and there is an excessive heat warning for the area until Friday evening. 

• Gas: Just about everyone is at $3.47, the lowest in the area. However, both Shell and Sinclair locations are at $3.62, according to stlouisgasprices.com.
  
  
• This week, we'll wrap up coverage of the Johnny Mac Thunder baseball season by announcing their MVP. We'll also take a look at a change to a local charity.
