  • Weather: Bring the poncho today as we'll have scattered showers and thunderstorms early in the day and a high near 80 degrees. According to The Weather Channel, it's looking like rain until at least Wednesday.
  • Gas: Prices are back up again with Sam's Club on Mehl Avenue at $3.45 a gallon. Butler Hill Sinclair and Phillips 66 stations are almost 10 cents back at $3.54 a gallon, according to stlouisgasprices.com.
  • Later today we'll have a story about the Mehlville school board's decision to interview all nine candidates for the open seat. At their Saturday meeting, they outlined an interview process to select an applicant who will serve until the April 2012 election. Interviews are set for June 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the administration building. Who do you want to see in the position?

  • Tonight, Sen. Jim Lembke is having a town hall meeting at Cliff Cave Library at 7:00 p.m. He'll be talking about the recently-ended session and answering questions. If you can't make the meeting, we'll have a story on Tuesday.

  • Did you know? Sesame seeds were so prized during the Middle Ages that in some parts of the world they were worth their weight in gold.
