Good Morning Mehlville: Weekend Lane Closures and Weather

Good morning, Mehlville!

Welcome to our new column that will help you get through the weekday. Every Monday through Friday at 6 a.m., we'll tell you everything ranging from gas prices and traffic alerts to events around town and stories we're working on. Lastly, we'll sign off with something fun to kickstart your morning.

• Weather: Warm temperatures will hit the low 90s this weekend with a chance of rain on Saturday. Sunday should be nice for Father's Day, so take dad out on the town!

• Gas: Everyone but Sam's Club has gone back up. They're at $3.46 while Phillips 66 on Union and Green Park is $3.67 and Shell at Telegraph and Barracksview is at $3.68 according to stlouisgasprices.com. 

• Call for Fathers: Hey everyone, I'm looking for funny, unique, touching or nostalgic stories about your dad. We'll compile all of your stories and run them on Sunday for Father's Day. If you know a great dad, have a great dad and want to share your story, email sarah.flagg@patch.com (hint hint mom—get your child to write a Father's Day message and he can read it Sunday morning on Patch).
  
  
• Grab your friends and family and head to Veterans Memorial Amphitheater Friday or Saturday night for concerts at Jefferson Barracks Park. Patti & the Hitmen play on Friday while Sh-Boom will be playing nostalgic rock songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s on Saturday. Tickets are $7. 

• Weekend travelers: The four lanes at Interstate 270 and 44 should return back to normal after this weekend, a MoDOT release said. Two lanes will be closed Friday night, and the Gravois ramp will be shut down Saturday from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., but everything should be completed by Monday morning, weather permitting. The work is part of rehabilitation projects on the bridges. Also, the two southbound lanes and northbound lanes will be closed on Interstate 55 at Union Road. MoDOT will be working on the road. The southbound lanes will be closed 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. and the northbound lanes will be closed 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
