Good Morning: Town Hall Meeting Tonight at Lindbergh

Good Morning Mehlville and Oakville: 

• Weather: Yesterday wasn't quite the sunshine we expected, but the National Weather Service is still calling for nice weather today. The high will be around 75 degrees.
  
   
• Later this morning, we'll have a story on Oakville volleyball's nail-biter against Kirkwood last night. The Tigers fell in extra points after three, long games.
   
• Did you know that this week is Child Passenger Safety Week? Missouri law requires all children younger than 8 years old to be in a child safety seat or booster seat until they weigh 80 pounds or are at least 4 feet 9 inches tall. The Mehlville Fire Protection District is offering free car seat installations and checks at their stations. Just call the administration office at 314-894-0420. The district has approximately 24 car seat techs that work from seven different houses. For children ages 1 through 12, traffic accidents are the leading cause of death. An average of two children age 12 and younger were killed every day in 2009, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website.
  
  
• at 6:30 p.m. at Lindbergh High School. Several of the county's departments will be on hand to answer questions and there will be a presentation about major events to come in South County. If you can't make this meeting, they'll have another one in October at Bernard Middle School.
