Locals to Perform at St. Louis Thanksgiving Day Parade

Mehlville High School's band and Oakville High School's dance team will be performing Thursday.

Move over Macy's, St. Louis is having its own Thanksgiving Day parade featuring kids from Mehlville and Oakville. 

Ameren Missouri's 27th annual Thanksgiving Day Parade starts at 8:45 a.m. Thursday and will be broadcast live on KMOV-TV Channel 4's "Great Day St. Louis."

The parade will start on the corner of Washington Avenue and Fourth Street in downtown St. Louis.

Mehlville High School's marching band will be competing in the Battle of the Bands Contest with other St. Louis-area bands. 

The Oakville High School Golden Girls will be one of the first performers of the parade, only a few entrants behind the fire trucks.

With more than 120 participants in the parade, be sure to stick around for the South County YMCA Starlites. This all-star cheer squad will be flipping and cheering their way into the holiday season.
