Nearly 300 Cars Damaged By Area Storm

While no funnel clouds were officially reported in Mehlville, the orange and golf ball-sized hail caused damage to several area cars, including nearly all of the cars on the lot at Frank Leta Acura.

"This is the worst I've seen," said Kevin Grubbs, who is the corporate sales manager for the dealership on Tesson Ferry Road. "I've never seen it like that, it was the size of an orange in my hand."

Grubbs said that insurance will cover damage costs to the nearly 300 cars on the lot, which included new, used and service cars.
