Traffic Ahead: MLK Bridge Closed; Cigarette Flicked into Convertible

Martin Luther King Bridge Closed This Weekend

Weather permitting, the bridge to Illinois will be closed for repair work from 5 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday. All lanes of eastbound I-64 between Jefferson and the Poplar Street Bridge will also be closed, beginning 8:30 p.m. Friday. The 6th Street and Pine Street ramps will stay open for at least one hour after the Cardinals game ends so Illinois traffic can use eastbound I-64 to return home.

MoDOT will also close the two left lanes of Poplar Street Bridge in both directions.

Ladue Road at 141 Closed Until Mid-November

Ladue Road east of the new construction for Route 141 closed Thursday morning. This section of Ladue will remain closed until mid-November as crews work on connecting the new Route 141 to Ladue Road.  Drivers can use Mason and Conway Road to detour around the closure.

Lanes of I-270 closed in North County

In North St. Louis County, several lanes of eastbound I-270 between Lindbergh Boulevard and

I-170 will close this weekend for bridge repairs. Up to two lanes will close starting late Friday night. During the day Saturday and Sunday, only one lane in both directions will be closed.

In Case You Forgot…

• In St. Louis City Jamieson bridge over I-44 is closed.
• The eastbound 11th Street exit ramp on I-64 is closed weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• The right lane at Chestnut on I-64 is still closed until mid-October.
• Express lanes on I-70 in St. Louis City are closed until mid-December.
• The ramp from eastbound I-70 to 10th Street in St. Louis City is closed permanently as of this week.
• Grand Boulevard is closed from I-64 to Chouteau by St. Louis City until mid 2012.
• There is a narrowed exit lane on Route 370 from northbound Earth City Expressway to westbound Route 370.
• Route D in St. Charles County will be closed from Route 94 to Route DD until October 19.
