Viewfinder: Spring Fever Hits Mehlville

In the hopes of enticing warm weather to stay, here are a few photos dedicated to spring.

Monday marked the vernal equinox, or as some people like to call it, the first day of spring. Others call it baseball season, summer's prelude, budding season or "Will it rain, snow or shine?" season.

Although the vernal equinox is when day and night are exactly 12 hours in length, the World Meteorological Organization states on its website that it disagrees with nature, and the first day of spring is March 1. The National Weather Service reports that it was a gorgeous 58 degrees in Mehlville on that day, but the area also received snow just two weeks later on March 14.

Whether you believe the good weather is here to stay, or refuse to pack away your snow boots, here are a few photos to prove spring has arrived in Mehlville, at least for now.
