Accomplishment: Buschhorn signed a letter of intent to play golf for Berry College in Mount Berry, GA.

Key to Awesomeness: Buschhorn started playing golf at the age of 3, when her father, a PGA Teaching Pro, decided to share his knowledge of the sport.

“Playing golf has taught me discipline and patience. It’s also a great way for my dad and me to bond,” Buschhorn said.

While Buschhorn has learned a lot about the sport, she said her biggest challenge is perfecting her swing. Despite the challenges she has faced, Buschhorn entertained several colleges before deciding on Berry because the “coach there was very welcoming.”

In addition to playing golf, Buschhorn served on the OHS Student Council, was a member of the German Honor Society, and participated in the Tiger Cage Spirit Club.

Buschhorn will attend Berry College in the fall, where she intends to study genetics and pursue a career in in vitro fertilization.
