The Noel Project: An Update

An update on The Noel Project and the families that were blessed a little over one week ago.

On December 15th, my family and I were privilidged to help with The Noel Project at First Christian Church of Florissant. This program seeks to bless local needy families by providing them with toys and food at Christmastime. That Saturday morning was truly a great reminder of what Christmas is really all about. It's not all about giving or recieving gifts, but about sharing the love of Christ by loving other people.

This year was a record year for The Noel Project in which First Christian through partening with the local community blessed 175 North County families. Lives were made a lot brighter as 468 children received toys, and 157 boxes of food were distributed, and 145 turkeys made tomorrow's Christmas dinner a lot more substancial for these folks.

As we celebrate tomorrow, these families will certainly be on my mind. I'm thankful that their Christmas will be made a little brighter through the generosity of my fellow citizens of North County.
