Habitat for Humanity Build
Whether you’re a professional handyman or a weekend warrior, Faith – Oakville is calling on area citizens to pitch in and lend a hammer to build a home beginning Saturday, June 25, at 8 a.m. The build will take place on Faith’s front parking lot located at 6101 Telegraph Road in Oakville, MO.
From Saturday, June 25 through Saturday, July 16, Faith Lutheran Church will be using local volunteers to help make a dream home a reality. The home to be built will be a ranch with four bedrooms, 1 ½ bathrooms, kitchen, laundry area, living room, and basement. Near the end of July, the walls will be transported to 303 England Dr., Crystal City, MO. Work at the Faith site will be completed on the house primarily on Saturday, June 25, July 2, July 9, and July 16. Overall completion will likely be this fall. Builders, support for builders, and lunch service positions are all in need for each Saturday, and different shifts are available. For specific dates/times and ways to lend a hand, visit www.faithstl.org/oakville or contact Kay Bach at 314.375.1106 / kay.bach@faithstl.org. There will be activities for the whole family!
