Letter to the Editor: Re Oakville Senior Housing Decision

A recently published Letter to the Editor describes reversing the Oakville Senior Housing decision as putting a horse back in the barn.

Oakville resident Marilyn Piatchek explains her take on a proposed senior housing plan on the St. Louis Post dispatch.

"Our family has been an Oakville resident for 47 years and has witnessed phenomenal growth in that span," reader Marilyn Piatcheck wrote in an opinion peice for the St. Louis Post Dispatch.  "On the he flap over the senior apartments ("Low-income apartments for seniors draw fire," June 8) seems to be a “horse out of the barn” situation."

Platcheck went on to ask about where certain political figures were during the planinning and the procurement stages.

"We voted for state Rep. Marsha Haefner," she said in the opinion piece. "Where were she and all of the naysayers March 19 at the planning and zoning hearing?

"How many people stopped to read the posted information sign at the site?"
