THE SAINT LOUIS SCIENCE CENTER EXTENDS HOURS DURING FAIR ST. LOUIS

The Saint Louis Science Center will have extended hours until 11 p.m. during Fair St. Louis, July 3 – 5.   During that time, Saint Louis Science Center visitors can enjoy:

  • The OMNIMAX® Theater - Shows starting at 10 a.m. with last show at 9 p.m.
  • DINOSAURS IN MOTION - Special exhibition with entry times from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
  • James S. McDonnell Planetarium - Planetarium shows starting at 10:30 a.m. with last show at 8:30 p.m.
  • Public Telescope Viewings - Daily telescope viewings (weather permitting) outside the James S. McDonnell Planetarium starting at dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.) until 11 p.m.
  • Rise Above - Traveling exhibit running from July 2 until July 6 (free admission). Step inside a traveling immersion exhibit featuring the original film Rise Above and learn about the courage and determination of the Tuskegee Airmen. Located outside the James S. McDonnell Planetarium. Hours: 
    • Wednesday, July 2, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
    • Thursday - Saturday, July 3 - 5, 9:30 a.m. - 11 p.m.
    • Sunday, July 6, 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

In addition, visitors of the Saint Louis Science Center can enjoy an iconic lighting of the James S. McDonnell Planetarium. During Fair St. Louis and the holiday weekend, the James S. McDonnell Planetarium will be lit in the patriotic colors of red, white and blue in celebration of Independence Day.

Parking at 5050 Oakland Avenue will be the regular price of $10.00.  There will be NO PUBLIC PARKING at the James S. McDonnell Planetarium during the Fair.
