On Aug 27, three fire districts responded with 19 pieces of equipment and 40+ personnel (extreme summer heat contributed to need to rotate staff) for 2+ hours to contain situation. Ameren has an on site emergency response team, but needed to call for outside help. The media (amazingly neither the MehlOak Patch nor The Call) reported this as a "small fire". Two weeks later and still no cause disclosed. And Ameren wants us to trust them with MORE coal ash AND honest monitoring and reporting of air and water quality???
Rogers Elementary is 1 mile away. Where does Mehlville School District and the Board of Education stand on this issue? What action have then taken? Have they spoken out before St. Louis County Council?
