Letter to the Editor: Fedorchak and Wainz for Mehlville School Board

One district parent shares his choice for Tuesday's election.

It is encouraging and exciting to see the Mehlville School District moving forward with their initiative to construct a as well as the prospect for offering for the 2013-14 school year; all without a tax increase.

The efforts of the board continue to show a commitment to the overall betterment of the community. I feel the two best candidates to build the District’s momentum are and .

Mr. Fedorchak, a current board member will capitalize on his experience and continue putting the educational needs of the children first, while Mr. Wainz brings a new, fresh perspective as an active parent of children who receive additional support from the Special School District.

If you support the District’s current direction, these two candidates, first and second on the ballot, will help facilitate your vision.

#1 Fedorchak & #2 Wainz on the ballot, Tuesday, April 3 for the kids. KIDS FIRST! Both have had kids in the district for YEARS and they have been paying attention to what's happening, not just to their taxes, but to our children. Most fiscally responsible of the 4 candidates AND they are Pro- Education. They want to come to the table with no hidden agendas and help make Mehlville and Oakville an outstanding community with outstanding schools!

Are there other real options this time around? One mother of three kids three and under won't have the time necessary to devote to the board, and the other candidate refuses to participate in much of anything Patch has done to get out information about this election. I could almost totally disagree with everything Fedorchak and Wainz stand for and still have to vote for them, or not vote at all (not a good option in my opinion). For all the complaints about the results of the last election, in my opinion, deciding who to choose was much tougher last time than this one.
