Here are a few facts about the wedding that is all the talk here in America, even though it takes place ashore the European continent.

While you are watching the nuptials today, if you decide to tune in, check to see if some of these fun facts turn out to indeed be true.

Ten "fun facts" about the Royal Wedding:

  1. Almost A Spinster:  At 29-years-old, Kate Middleton will be one of the oldest royal brides to walk down the aisle April 29. 

  2. Telefax:  Queen Elizabeth II apparently sent out save-the-date invitations via fax machine.

  3. No Nicknames: Kate Middleton has asked to be called Catherine, not Kate. 

  4. Punctuality is a Must: According to royal tradition, the Queen must be the last person to enter the cathedral. It's best to not show up to the wedding if you know you are going to be late.

  5. The Guest List: Controversial rapper Kanye West is supposedly on the guest list.

  6. Hearting the Homeless: Prince William is reported to have invited to the wedding members of the homeless population who made a difference in his life.

  7. Foreign Affair: About 40 foreign royals have been invited to the nuptials including the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, the sultan of Brunei, the emperor of Japan, and kings of Malaysia, Tonga and Thailand.

  8. Marriage is a Business: There's been some talk that Prince William and Middleton will be the first royal couple to sign a prenuptial agreement.

  9. Military Garb: Male guests with a military record have been asked to don their armed-forces dress uniform.

  10. A Matter of Tradition: Middleton's flower bouquet will be keeping up a tradition that dates back to the 19th century and the wedding of Queen Victoria. She will include a sprig of myrtle from that tree that still grows in Victoria's personal garden. After the ceremony, the myrtle sprig is planted in the bride's garden by her bridesmaids.
