Crime Report: Police Looking for Car Break-in Suspect

The St. Louis County Police crime report from May 13 to May 21 includes incidents occurring in Mehlville, Oakville and Lemay.

The following information was supplied by the St. Louis County Police Department.

May 13

A wallet with ID and credit cards was reported stolen from . 

May 14

  • A 2003, Kawasaki Mule and landscaping equipment was reported stolen from River City Casino. 
  • The Missouri American Water Company left a 2009 Wells Cargo enclosed 12-foot trailer on the side of the road at Paule and Virgo Lane over the weekend. The trailer contained several chains, cables, stop signs, work signs, fittings and metal stop boxes. The trailer and its contents were reported stolen by unknown suspects. The hitch was not secured in any way, but the trailer doors were. Residents in the area said they did not see anything suspicious. 

May 15

  • Money was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Lemay Ferry Road.
  • A white, 2006 Ford F-450; a red, 1985 Pioneer trailer; a black 2011 Big Tex trailer and a welder was reported stolen from the 4000 block of Koch Road. 
  • A shopping cart and tools were reported stolen from the 800 block of Lemay Ferry Road. 
  • Two unknown men entered the  on Lemay Ferry Road overnight, stole a small amount of cash and left through the back door. The restaurant was also burglarized by two male suspects in Dec. 2011. 

May 16

  • Police observed a suspect on video surveillance walking down Victron Drive around 5 a.m. The suspect was walking up to parked cars and testing to see if they were locked. After finding an unlocked vehicle, the suspect stole a black laptop and its case valued at $920. The man also stole $10 in change and a red, Nikon CoolPix L18 from two other cars, one on the 2700 block of Cathedral Drive. The suspect is described as a heavy-set white male in his 20s with dark hair and a thin, dark beard. 
  • A television was reported stolen from the 5300 block of Milburn Road. 
  • A leaf blower was reported stolen from the 2700 block of Flameglow Drive. 
  • Police are looking for suspects that vandalized the Ace Hardware on Lemay Ferry Road. The unknown persons kicked in the basement door and stole a shopping cart full of tools. The suspects then poured bleach on clothes. 

May 17

A laptop and book bag was reported stolen from River City Casino. 

May 18

  • A maroon, 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer (KA0S7F) was reported stolen from the 1800 block of Mansard Drive.
  • Electronics were reported stolen from the 6400 block of Bluff Farm Drive.
  • A man stole a cable from  and ran when confronted by the police. After a foot pursuit and resisting arrest, the suspect was tased and pepper-sprayed. Police arrested the suspect at his residence. The man had several warrants out for assault on police officers. 

May 19

  • Electronics, money, keys and sunglasses were reported stolen from the 6300 block of Christopher Winds Court.
  • A GPS unit was reported stolen from the 5000 block of Flamewood Drive. 
  • Medication was reported stolen from the 2600 block of Bluff Ridge Drive. 
  • A firearm, jewelry and electronics were reported stolen from a home on the 6100 block of Arbor Green Drive.

May 20

  • Nothing was reported stolen after a burglary call on the 2800 block of Firelight Drive.
  • Electronics were reported stolen from the 7400 block of Lindbergh Boulevard. 
  • Shopping carts were reported stolen from the Oakville Shopping Center. 
  • Electronics and parts were reported stolen from the 7400 block of Lindbergh Boulevard. 
  • Nothing was reported stolen after a burglary call on the 7100 block of Sandoval Court. 
  • A credit card was reported stolen from the 2700 block of Cree Court.  

May 21

. Police pursued the suspect into Columbia, Illinois, where he exited the truck and came at the officer with a knife. The officer fired two shots at the suspect, but did not hit him. Police took the man into custody and found a mobile meth lab after searching the vehicle.
