Five Taken to Hospital in Four-Car Accident on Lemay Ferry

Five people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Updated 4:01 p.m.: The accident is now cleared and Lemay Ferry Road is open. 

Police have temporarily closed Lemay Ferry Road from the location at 2516 Lemay Ferry to the intersection of Lemay Ferry and Reavis Barracks roads. 

A four-car accident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. near Dierberg's and five people have been taken to the hospital with minor injuries, said Lt. Karl Bulla with the St. Louis County Police. No one is in critical condition and no pedestrians were injured.

A car was traveling northbound at high speeds on Lemay Ferry and after losing control, hit three other cars in the southbound lanes. The driver has been taken to the hospital.

Bulla said the car knocked down two street signs and the accident careened approximately 700 feet.
