Man Threatened to Kidnap and Kill Oakville Family, Police Say
William J. Brown was charged with harassment after St. Louis County Police heard him threaten a woman in Oakville.
A Crystal City man faces charges for threatening to kidnap and kill an Oakville family April 27 at the family’s home.
William J. Brown, of the 100 block of County Road in Crystal City, was charged Sunday in St. Louis County Circuit Court with harassment.
St. Louis County Police said a woman called another woman and left a voice message, saying Brown was acting crazy at her home in the 6900 block of Shady Lawn Drive. In the background on the message, Brown can be heard saying, "before I kidnap and kill you all," according to a court document.

Brown is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $10,000, cash only.
